Australia Gains Relevancy in DC Comics - Suicide Squad (2019) #1-5 Review

I find myself in an interesting position with the new Suicide Squad Book written by Tom Taylor and with art by Bruno Redondo and Daniel Sampere. I can’t say I have ever really read a Suicide Squad book prior to these five issues. The only exception to this would potentially be the Rebirth one-shot to the previous run. So why did I choose to read this book now? The title itself is the namesake to one of the less popular movies in the DC Extended Universe line of films and generally the Suicide Squad book itself isn’t talked about within the wider comic book community. The Good Neighbor

I have been lurking on the subreddit Writing Prompts a fair bit lately, anticipating the best moment to strike. The point of the subreddit is for one person to submit a prompt for other users to create a story (min. 100 words) or a poem based on the prompt. My observations have shown the community to be a genuinely encouraging and enjoyable place to fan one’s creative flame. Most of the prompts seem fantasy based which isn’t too far in my comfort zone for a first shot. Then I found a prompt I absolutely loved. I present to you - The Good Neighbor.

The question is why start a blog in 2019, the age of content, where there is literally too many shows and books and comics and movie and audio books and just a plethora of opinions between all the many platforms we have at our disposal.
